Module 3: Leveraging Tools, Technology & External Resources

Objective: Extend audit capabilities using low-cost tools and strategic partnerships.

    • Low-cost audit software (e.g., TeamMate+, AuditBoard, Open-Audit tools)
    • Document and evidence management
  • Automating checklists and reporting
  • Leveraging external networks: co-sourcing, peer reviews, guest auditors
  • Collaborating with other assurance providers (risk, compliance, finance)
  • Exercise: Build a basic audit dashboard or tracker using Excel or free tools

Module 4: Reporting, Stakeholder Engagement & Building Influence

Objective: Deliver value through impactful communication and stakeholder engagement.

  • Reporting findings clearly and concisely
  • Writing with impact: prioritization, visuals, and brevity
  • Communicating audit value to senior management and boards
  • Handling difficult conversations and pushback professionally
