Results-Based Management (RBM)
TRAINING
INTRODUCTION
Results-Based Management (RBM) is a strategic management
approach focused on achieving defined, measurable results through effective
planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. It shifts the focus from
activities and inputs to the outcomes and impact of interventions. RBM
has become the standard for international development agencies, governments,
and NGOs seeking to demonstrate accountability, transparency, and development
effectiveness.
This training is designed to build the capacity of
development practitioners, managers, and policy-makers in applying RBM
principles and tools throughout the project and program cycle. Participants
will learn how to design logical frameworks, track performance, report on
outcomes, and use data for learning and decision-making.
LEARNING
OBJECTIVES
By the end of the course, participants will be able
to:
- Understand
the core concepts, principles, and cycle of Results-Based Management
- Apply
RBM tools such as Theory of Change and Logical Framework Approach (LFA)
- Develop
SMART indicators and performance measurement frameworks
- Plan,
implement, monitor, and evaluate programs based on results
- Use
evidence and data for reporting, decision-making, and learning
- Integrate
accountability, learning, and adaptation into programming
